Trudie Wolking
Encaustic mixed media, dried rose petals & broken pieces of slate on panel
Inspired by photo #1
16 x 16 x 1 inches
This piece does not mourn. It Honors. It tells the quiet, often unseen story of those who, even as the body yields, continue to live with dignity, creativity, and unshakable will. It is an original painting created with beeswax, oil paints, and damar resin on a cradled board. Embellished with dried rose petals, slate fragments, antique silk fabric, pigment sticks, and pan pastels evoking an emotional endurance which reflects a spirit of resilience.
