I was inspired to participate in this exhibition for several reasons. Like Melissa Stephens' sister, I too live with an incurable disease. Although not ALS, I understand what it is to keep hope alive on a daily basis, though some days it feels like a struggle to find.
Married to a tireless research physician, I have long enjoyed incorporated scientific images in my artwork. I am honored to be a part of this project.
