I found the images for this art exhibition speaking to my heart, especially the image of brain neurons connecting (or not). True of ALS and of what my young mother endured with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Through it all, the gradual disappearance of the strongest woman I ever knew, the fading of her delightful wit and beauty, I heard her silent voice, “My daughter, I’m still here.” Even now, years after her silent passing, I hear her. She’s still here, in me. With the art I share with you, with all who see this work: Stay connected. They are still there.
