Blue Gold and inspired by Research Renderings, was crafted using a customized hot aluminum plate and Japanese rice paper in a process known as encaustic monotype. Encaustic monotype is a blend of the ancient art of encaustic painting and the contemporary concept of monotype. The piece features a combination of blue and gold encaustic wax, and India ink, with the gold symbolizing regeneration and hope.
